2011 Infiniti QX56 Video Review

The 2011 Infiniti QX56 made it's debut at the New York Auto Show this week and the reviews are starting to pour in. Cars.com, who always does great video review, took a look at the QX56 and did a review while at the show.

On a side note... there are good videos and bad videos that get posted to YouTube with car reviews and misc videos. This is one of the good ones as it's not just a slide show with some bad music in the background. Take a look and see if you agree.

2009 Infiniti G37 Convertible

2009 Infiniti G37 Convertible

One of the best ways to get a feel for a vehicle besides driving it is to watch a few videos, read reviews and see what information is on the Internet. At Grubbs Infiniti we are trying to do some of the work for you. Since we don't write automotive reviews on our own vehicles (that wouldn't make sense would it) we try to compile reviews from some of the prominent reviewers like Auto Blog, Motor Trend, US News, Consumer Reports and so forth. That way you can get all of your research done in one place and not have to jump around too much.

Hope you enjoy seeing and learning more about the 2009 Infiniti G37 Convertible. It's a real beauty and now that it's Spring it is Convertible Time!

Please visit www.autotalk.com for more auto news, forums and pictures! The all-new Infiniti G Convertible, sporting a retractable hardtop, Bose® Open Air Sound System and an adaptive climate control system, is on sale at Infiniti dealers nationwide, just in time to allow consumers to Own The Sky during this weekends official start of Summer.

Infiniti TV - Great Tool

Infiniti TV
Since it's only been a few months since I started at Grubbs Infiniti (and truth be told I am currently driving a Jeep Commander) I have been trying to learn as much as I can about the Grubbs Infiniti dealership and the Infiniti brand. As I have been getting more familiarized with the products and features of the Infiniti line of vehicles one of the I have found the most useful is "Infiniti TV".

Infiniti TV offers some short videos on various topics such as: Brand, Featured, Models, TV spots and my favorite - Technology. I am not a techno geek by any means (well, maybe I am) but have become fascinated by how advanced some of the features in the new Infiniti models are. I thought my Jeep was cool because it had an external jack for my iPod.

I have put together a "site map" of Infiniti TV so you can find the videos a little easier.

Ford Flex versus Infiniti FX50 (Hearse vs Steroidal Creature from the Black Lagoon)

As the main author of the blogs that Grubbs Infiniti is authoring I read probably a dozen or so auto reviews per day. That can really take it's toll on your creative side considering most of the reviews look the same. Yes, the auto reviews with videos add some spice to the mix but for the most part it's a few images, features and pricing.

This lack of creativity in some of the auto reviews is why I was pleasantly surprised to find this review of the Infiniti FX50 versus Ford Flex from Edmunds.com in my Google Reader today. This is not a typical "comparable vehicle review" comparing two vehicles with similar characteristics but a review of two separate types of vehicles.

Here are some great excerpts.. but make sure to read the entire article at Edmunds.com.

From Edmunds.com
Usually, we here at Edmunds are tasked with comparing apples to apples. But once in a while it's fun to consider apples against pears. Or even funeral coaches against fish. That said, this face-off has real-world merit because we know some parents will be torn between getting something rather sporty versus something more practical. We also know that some practical people don't necessarily want to drive something that loudly proclaims: "I brake for PTA meetings and bake sales." So we bring you the racy but controversially-styled Infiniti FX50 and the more conservative and practical yet still cool Ford Flex.

The Flex looks like a hearse. Unless you're some goth kid who loves The Cure and hates his parents, hearses aren't cool. In fact, hearses are kind of a bummer, since they make you think of death, and death is sad. The FX50, on the other hand, looks like a steroidal sea creature from the Black Lagoon.

Well, Mr. Clarke, it's a good thing your FX50 is a little faster, because if we're taking our All-Star little leaguers and their friends to the game, you're going to have to make another trip to get junior's two friends you had to leave behind initially.

The FX50 seats 5. According to the most recent Census, the average American family consists of just 3.14 people. 3.14! The FX50 is big enough for 3.14, and maybe even a crabby mother-in-law or two. Mr. DiPietro, it's time for you to bury that tragic hearse and start living. Come over to the Cool Side - we've got candy.

Check it out for yourself.. you won't be disappointed.

2010 Infiniti G37 Convertible Road Video Review

2010 Infiniti G37 Convertible Road Video Review
I found a nice review of the Infiniti G37 Convertible. He goes through a lot of the features and is very detailed.
We have delivered a few of the G37 Convertibles here are Grubbs Infiniti. Take a look and see what he has to say about the 2010 Infiniti G37 Convertible.

The G's interior looks great. It has all of the luxury and technological features you would expect from a high line car. Wood trim, leather and a handsome analog dash clock greet you upon arrival. The clock looks a bit vintage, and is reminiscent of Maserati's tradition of including a clock in every car. It is a nice elegant touch and really works in the G. more...

CSI - Not the Hit CBS TV Show

CSI, the hit CBS TV show is not what you are going to find with this blog post. However, it must be a great series considering there is a CSI for almost every major city. We are still waiting on CSI Dallas or CSI Ft. Worth but we won't be holding our breathe.

The CSI that I am referring to in this article is "Customer Satisfaction Index" which is an indicator of how satisfied customers are with their vehicle purchases through a dealership.

Every dealer cares about how their customers are rating them on their CSI surveys and every dealer wants to improve their ratings. Why do automotive dealers care so much about CSI?
The simple answer is that the manufacturers use these "grades" to allocate new models and make operating decisions.

Yes, having a good average CSI is important to the dealers. However, this isn't the only customer satisfaction measure that needs to be assessed. I will contend that the CSI is not the most important measure of customer satisfaction either.

Going Beyond CSI
In reality customers don't really care about the dealers CSI ratings. It's not something that they can tell their friends about or share their "real" feelings with their neighbors. The CSI is focused more on the information that the manufacturer wants to get so they can rate the dealers and not something useful for future customers.

So going beyond the CSI is becoming important for dealers to do. How does one go beyond the CSI? A dealer can go beyond the CSI by asking it's customers to share their reviews of the buying (or service) experience in the manner that they are most comfortable.

Over 400 million people are now on Facebook but that's not necessarily a "review" site. However, a post on Facebook or Twitter (again, not a review site) that says you had a great experience or a bad experience can have a great impact on the dealers reputation because of the reach that these social media sites have.

Review specific sites such as Yelp and auto specific sites like Edmunds.com are sites that focus 100% on customers posting their experiences with specific companies. These review sites have now entered the social media realm with the functionality of being able to "tweet", "email", or post your reviews to Linkedin, Facebook or other social media sites. So now the review that your customer has of your business is no longer confined to word of mouth. Now reviews are archived for life (well, as long as the Internet is around) and can be forwarded and searched for all to see.

So when you look at a choice between having a good CSI number or having positive reviews on the social sites both are important but for different reasons. Think of your customer satisfaction as a portfolio of reviews and that you want to pay attention to both of them.

At Grubbs Infiniti we are trying to make sure that we are listening to what our customers have to say about the service we are providing. Job satisfaction is enhanced when you are praised and hear that you are doing a good job and that's what we strive for at Grubbs Infiniti. We want our customers to rave about the service and buying experience at Grubbs Infiniti. We know that in the long term if we take care of our customers we will be financially rewarded. That's just good business.

Here are a few of the sites we recommend to our customers to post their reviews.

Reviews of the 2010 Infiniti FX

Reviews of the 2010 Infiniti FX

Anyone that has ever done research while buying or selling a new or pre owned auto knows that there are dozens of review sites out there.  Some do a great job with ratings, photos and analysis while others fall short.
A few of the items that I hear consumers wanting are:
- comparisons between models within a companies line (comparing FX to EX etc)
- comparisons between models between companies (comparing BMW to Infiniti offerings)
- Price, Price, Price
- Photos and videos are becoming the norm and most reviews include them now
- links to other reviews
I wanted to put together a few reviews of the 2oo9 / 2010 Infiniti FX so you can learn more about this great vehicle but can also see how different the reviews can be in format and content.
