Sexy Infiniti Photo Shoot

If you are a fan of Infinitis or an auto enthusiast you are going to enjoy this behind the scenes video of what goes into an auto photo shoot. The video provides some great details on how they capture such great images for use in brochures, television and more. The video is art itself and worth a look.

The models featured in the video are the Infiniti EX30D (that's the diesel version of the EX30 just released in Europe) and the Infiniti M35 Hybrid (also making it's debut in Europe).

From time to time we shoot video at Grubbs Infiniti but we can't come close to this type of work since we don't have a studio that's set up to specifically shoot vehicles. We do a great job with what we have but you can tell that this is a very high quality shoot. Enjoy the video.

Infiniti's future is the M

"Infiniti's future is the M" Hmmm.. as I review this blog entry I wonder if the title of this blog should be "Infiniti's Future is the M?" Over the past few weeks the Internet has been a buzz regarding the New 2011 Infiniti M and questions regarding the Infiniti Q line of cars. If the bloggers are correct and the signs are that they are the M series is the future of Infiniti and the Q line will no longer be included in the Infiniti line up of vehicles. The Q hasn't been produced for a few years so it's probably time to consider the Q no longer part of the future lineup of Infinitis.

Of course I don't have any inside information since I work at a dealership and not directly for the manufacturer. However, the bloggers are making sense and after seeing the latest ad from Infiniti for the 2011 M (the commercial debuts before tip-off of the NCAA Tournament tomorrow) I can understand why the writing on the wall might be true. Also, with the successful G series and M series there might not be room for the Q line which might have seen it's last car roll off the production line.

But again, we are Grubbs Infiniti don't know what the grand plan is for the Infiniti Q any more than the bloggers do. Well, at least I don't.

The Ft. Worth Auto Show is open on Sunday, March 14th from 10am to 6pm.

Looking for something to do this weekend? Come down to the Ft. Worth Auto Show this weekend. Grubbs Infiniti will be showcasing the 2011 Infiniti M at the Ft. Worth Auto Show which runs March 11 - March 14th.

The Ft. Worth Auto Show is open on Sunday, March 14th from 10am to 6pm.

Come see the 2011 Infiniti M
The 2011 Infiniti M is the first of many of the M line to be styled based on the Infiniti Essence Concept car that turned heads at the Chicago and Geneva Auto Shows earlier this year. Here is an excerpt from one of the recent reviews from Auto Blog.

Autoblog.com
“From the outside, there’s little question Infiniti has stepped up the M’s game in a major way. Drawing swoopy inspiration from the Essence concept, the new M is lower, wider and just a smidgen longer. Infiniti hammered home the point that the new car is the first Infiniti product to sport Essence-derived lines, but by no means will it be the last. They showed us a few pictures of the new QX56, and while we sadly can’t share them with you, please take our word for it that the new QX is world’s better looking than the frankly obscene old version.”

We hope you can stop by and see the 2011 Infiniti M in person at the Ft. Worth Auto Show this week.

Inspired by March Madness at Grubbs Infiniti

The NCAA Division I Tournament starts this week and Infiniti, the official vehicle of the NCAA Tournament, will take center stage (or is it half court) during the next few weeks of March Madness.

Infiniti has launched an integrated media campaign centered around the NCAA Division I Tournament in addition to the SEC (South Eastern Conference) and Big 10 Conferences. The first phase was launched in January to promote Infiniti's G line of vehicles. This next chapter focuses on Infiniti's flagship M line, the new model of which goes on sale this month. But both campaigns are also an effort to reposition the brand.

At Grubbs Infiniti we have been "inspired" by the marketing campaign and partnership developed between Infiniti and the NCAA. At Grubbs Infiniti we have been working to integrate the components of the National Infiniti campaign with our local efforts and have enjoyed doing so.

Facebook
On Facebook we have developed a custom tab that highlights Infiniti's sponsorship of the "Bracket Challenge" and the opportunity for a lucky winner to win a 2011 Infiniti M.

We are also going to be posting information about our local teams that are in the tournament such as the University of North Texas "Mean Green" and our regional teams such as the University of Texas "Longhorns". Other Texas teams will no doubt make it into the tournament and we will find out on "Selection Sunday" when the brackets are set.

Infiniti Encouraging Dealer Participation
Infiniti is encouraging the employees of dealerships nationwide to participate in the Bracket Challenge and has set up an internal contest that each dealership can play. I was disappointed to learn that I can't win the 2011 Infiniti M but at least I can beat my co-workers .

At Grubbs Infiniti we had our monthly meeting a few days ago where the "Bracket Challenge" was announced and the announcement was greeted with some good smack talking and predictions on who is going to have the best bracket.

We will let you know how our brackets are going. Hope you play along with the Infiniti Bracket Challenge.

Infiniti M35 Hybrid - Geneva Auto Show

The Infiniti M35 Hybrid is getting a lot of attention at the Geneva AutoShow taking place this week in Switzerland. The M35 is the first hybrid from Infiniti and is being touted by the automotive community as one of the first performance hybrids. The Infiniti M35 was rigorously tested in the United States while being readied to take on the it's European competitors, the BMW 5 series and the Mercedes Benz E class.

The reviews from the Geneva AutoShow so far have been very favorable of the Infiniti M35 Hybrid and we at Grubbs Infiniti have been keeping track of what's being said and are very excited for the M35 Hybrid to come to our showroom sometime in 2011.

MotorAuthority
2010 Geneva Motor Show: 2012 Infiniti M35 Hybrid

"Nissan and its Infiniti luxury division may have been late to the table when it comes to hybrids but neither brand is shying away from launching a new generation of gasoline-electric vehicles. Infiniti has fired the latest round in the battle for hybrid supremacy with the unveiling of a new hybrid version of its 2011 M sedan at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show."

"Officially titled the Infiniti M35 Hybrid, the new sedan is scheduled to go on sale in the spring of 2011, which means it will most likely come in as a 2012 model."

The Driver's Hybrid: Low Co2 Infiniti With the Power to Please

"Innovative electric technology and an undiluted driving experience come together in Infiniti’s first hybrid, making its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show today. The low CO2 champion of the all-new M Line sedan range, the Infiniti M35 HYBRID steers the hybrid advantage from the city to the open road – and into the arms of all those who love their driving."

"Just how efficient the M35 HYBRID’s electric side is was shown in a rigorous test program in the US based on day-in, day-out driving over a three-month period on a route that took in not just busy city streets but also suburbs, freeways and even mountain roads. The results showed that the M35 HYBRID was able to drive in electric-only mode, with zero tailpipe emissions, for as much as 50 per cent of the time."

"For Infiniti the possibilities are endless! After teasing us with the Essence concept at last year’s Geneva show, the up-and-coming luxury arm of Nissan has revealed a petrol-electric version of its BMW 5-Series rival – the M35 Hybrid."

Yes, it can be an inconvenience to have to take your vehicle into the dealer to repair a recall item but it's to insure the safety of you the owner.

March Madness at Infiniti

Win a 2011 Infiniti M
Infiniti has partnered with the NCAA Basketball Tournament and will be giving away a 2011 Infiniti M.

What does Infiniti and the NCAA Basketball Tournament have to do with one another? This year Infiniti is a major sponsor of the tournament and a presenting sponsor of the "Bracket Challenge".

The NCAA Tournament or "March Madness" as it's affectionately been dubbed has been elevated to one of the top sporting events in the United States. Starting with the conference tournaments and running all the way through to the Final 4 College Basketball takes center stage during the month of March. With the major professional sports of football and baseball in their off season and hockey and basketball not yet into the playoffs it gives the NCAA an opportunity to highlight the tournament across the nation.

Brackets
It's become a company wide tradition at many companies to have a "March Madness Pool" or some type of inner company competition. Whether it's sanctioned by the company or under the table even those that have no interest in basketball get consumed by filling out their brackets and seeing how they do versus their friends and co-workers.

Grand Prize - 2011 Infiniti M
This year the Grand Prize in the CBS Sports Bracket contest will be a 2011 Infiniti M valued at approximately $58,000. The winner will be randomly chosen from someone whose bracket is in the top 10% of all the brackets. So the odds of winning are dictated by the number of brackets that are filled out and your ability to pick the right teams.

Motor Trend
"Following in the footsteps of the Lexus GS and on the heels of Mercedes-Benz's introduction of its eighth-generation E-Class, Infiniti is readying the release of the third-gen, 2011 Infiniti M, a sedan that promises to compare favorably -- at least on paper -- with both."

2011 M First Drive Review Are In

2011 M First Drive Review Are In
Each year when a new model is launching the automotive press and bloggers are invited to test drive the new vehicles before they are shipped to the dealers.  This is how most  of the reviews are generated for magazines and blogs such as Motor Trend, Car and Driver and other major publications.  The opportunity to test drive the vehicles with the manufacturers representatives there helps to clarify any questions that the reviewers may have and to provide a great opportunity for the reviewers to really get know the vehicle and the brand.
Recently this “first drive” session was conducted in San Diego, CA and many of the top publications and bloggers took the new 2011 Infiniti M series of vehicles for a test drive.
At Grubbs Infiniti we strongly believe that the more research you have and the more know about what the reviewers have to say about the Infiniti line of vehicles the more we can help you find the right Infiniti for you.
Here are some excerpts of what the reviewers had to say in addition to links to the full reviews.

2011 Infiniti M56

First Drive: 2011 Infiniti M
Review by Motor Trend
“The last time we had an Infiniti M in a comparison test — a 303-horsepower, seven-speed M35 S — it finished eighth… out of eight cars. Or, as the seven other luxury brands are happy to point out, dead last. For the 2011 model year, though, Infiniti has put to bed the last-place second-gen M and pulled out from under the covers a third gen that is more stylish, more powerful, more fuel-efficient, and more technologically advanced. As you can tell, it’s got more of just about everything, a fact that will no doubt make it a formidable participant in the next shootout. But until we can amass another luxe-sedan showdown, let’s examine whether the 2011 M truly has the goods to be great.”
“Nissan’s luxury brand has always been a second rate player in some of the most competitive vehicle classes in the world. They want to be BMW, but basing cars on the front-wheel drive Maxima platforms was never going to get them there. Then, starting with the 2009 G37 Sedan and more recently the Coupe and 2009 G37 Convertible, Infiniti suddenly became competitive. You don’t need to make excuses for Infiniti’s latest generation of cars.”
“Infiniti’s 5-series rival used to be a nice, but anonymous car. After hooning it through Southern California’s canyons, that’s no longer the case. Now, the 2011 Infiniti M is Japan’s Jaguar.”
2011 Infiniti M – First Drive
Review by Automobile Magazine
“The M remains among the leaders in active safety technologies, with the industry’s first blind spot intervention (BSI) system added to its repertoire of driver aids. BSI gently nudges you back should you try to make a lane change with another car hidden in your blind spot. In a quick test of the system, it worked unobtrusively but is easily overridden or turned off should you be in the mood to pit-maneuver yourself into someone else’s car. We think it’s great. BSI, that is, not the suicidal pit maneuver.”

2011 Infiniti M37/M56 – First Drive Review
Review by Car and Driver
“Among Infiniti’s goals in the M redesign was to smooth out and sharpen up the suspension. Owners have carped about Infiniti’s harsh ride, especially on cars equipped with sport suspensions and/or larger wheels. The changes underneath the M basically stiffen the links laterally for better corner tracking and body control while employing new bushings to help isolate bump frequencies. The result is a large sedan that moves fluidly through corners with well-connected steering—especially when equipped with the optional four-wheel-steering system—but remains quiet and vibration-free as a luxury car should.”
