Grubbs Infiniti Part of the Auto Trader Marketplace

Grubbs Infiniti Part of the Auto Trader Marketplace

Selling a used car to another private party is often a time consuming and for some an overwhelming process. Car buying companies such as Car Max have been in business for years and offer cash or trade in on vehicles sold from their lots. Now Auto Trader is offering a product titled, "Marketplace", and provides a similar service that Car Max does but does so through participating local dealerships. The main advantage to using the Auto Trader Marketplace program is the options that are given to the seller. After you get the estimate of your cash value or trade in value online you can stop by any participating dealer for an inspection. After the inspection at the dealership is done you are given a final quote and you can either accept the cash value offered and receive a check (if no negative equity), trade in your vehicle towards another vehicle from the dealer or walk away.

What is a Trade-In Gurantee
A Trade-In Guarantee is generated once you've entered your car's details in our online questionnaire. Following a free dealer inspection to verify your car's condition, you decide whether you want to sell your car, and get a check for the amount of your final offer, or trade in for another vehicle at your inspection location.

Dropping Off My Car
Where do I take my vehicle to redeem my Trade-In Guarantee?
You can take your vehicle to a local dealer in our network to verify your car's condition and redeem your Trade-In Guarantee or trade-in. We'll provide you with a list of participating dealers, and you're free to choose which to visit.

Grubbs Infiniti is a member of the Auto Trader Marketplace. You can schedule your inspection by calling 817 318 1200 ext 4037 and asking for Pete Hankins (phankins@grubbs.com)

What if the dealer I go to won't match the amount on my Trade-In Guarantee?

You and the dealer use the same online third-party objective tool to determine the value of your car. So, the more details you enter about the condition of your car, the more accurate your offer will be. If the inspection report doesn't match your online assessment of your car's condition, the final offer may be raised or lowered based on the report. We'll provide you with a list of participating dealers in our network, and you're free to choose which to visit.

What information should I bring when I drop off my car?
To finalize the sale, bring the following information to a local dealer in our network:
  • Your Trade-In Guarantee confirmation
  • Your vehicle title. If you don't have a title because your car is financed, bring your lienholder information. If your car is leased, check with your leasing company to find out what paperwork they require.
  • Your vehicle registration
  • A valid driver's license or other government photo ID
  • All keys, keyless remotes and manuals
  • Service and repair records
  • And don't forget to make arrangements for a ride home and remove all personal items from your vehicle.

How much does it cost to receive a Trade-In Guarantee?
It's free! You'll never be charged a fee to sell your car.

Do I have to purchase a car with my Trade-In Guarantee?
The choice is yours. You can walk away with the check or trade in.
